The Week in Open Water Swimming - 4/23/2012

Lots of swimming opportunities this week in North Texas.  Three workout opportunities and an open water swimming clinic:

Monday: 

• Triple Threat Tough OWS training at 6:30 PM at Stewart Creek Park in The Colony (Lake Lewisville)

Saturday:

• IronTex Triathlon OWS training at 7:00 AM at Lake View Park in Grapevine (Lake Grapevine)

Sunday:

• Tri-Now Endurance OWS training at 7:00 AM at Cottonwood Creek Marina in Little Elm (Lake Lewisville)
• Tri-Now Endurance will hold an OWS Clinic at  9:00 AM at Cottonwood Creek Marina in Little Elm (Lake Lewisville).  From the Tri-Now website:

The clinic will: 

• address the unique challenges of open water swimming.
• provide  experience in open water.
• teach  the skills necessary for efficient open water swimming, including: starts, sighting, turning buoys & drafting
• provide a supportive environment where athletes can nurture trust in their abilities.

The cost of the clinic is $50.
